Hi, I am Laura Lee.
Hello Everyone,
My name is Laura Lee! I grew up in Tripp, South Dakota but now live in Parkston, South Dakota. I am a proud Tripp-Delmont High School Alumni from the Class of 2017. A Wife, Mom of a Baby Boy named Bennett, & a Dog Mom to Aubrey the Corgi.
Back in May of 2019, I graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute (LATI) with an Associates Degree in Business Associate/ Photography/Media.
Photography has always been something that has interested me ever since I was a kid. I would always want to play with my mom & grandma's film cameras & try to take photos of whatever I found interesting. I even had my own film camera at one time as well. I guess what I am trying to say is I have always had an eye for photography!
Around my Freshman year of high school, I started taking it more seriously as a hobby. I started posting the photos on Facebook & someone asked me if I thought about having a career in Photography. After that my mind was set on making a career out of my hobby.
When it came to deciding where I wanted to go college, I decided I want to attend a 2 year College. I chose Lake Area Technical Institute (LATI) since they have a Photography Program that would teach me more photography skills & how to run a photography business. In the beginning of my final year at LATI in 2018, I officially opened my photography business as a Freelance Photographer. After graduating from LATI & many years later in 2023, I was given the opportunity to finally open my own Photography Studio right in my hometown of Tripp, South Dakota! I am so grateful that I was given that opportunity because it gave me a chance to meet even more new clients & gave me a space to call mine to work in. But life happens & things don't always work out the way you had planned they would.
Unfortunately, I will be closing down my Studio location at the end of April 2024 & going back to running the business from home as a Freelance Photographer. I am NOT closing the business itself!
